James and the Giant Peach Auditions!

The Charles Seller Foundation & Talent Time Players are proud to announce auditions for our 2019 Production, Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach! Auditions will be held on May 15, 17, and 20.

Check in’s begin promptly at 5:30. Actors will be seen in the order they check in, starting at 6pm. Check in’s will end promptly at 8:30.

Please bring 32 bars of a broadway style song. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring dance shoes or sneakers and be prepared to move.

Call backs will be May 21st from 6-9pm by invitation only.

General Members of The Charles Seller Foundation must be between the ages of 13 and 30. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.

Ladahlord
A strange, magical storyteller. Often inserts himself into the story, in disguise, to help push the action forward.

James
A lonely young boy who lacks confidence. Having lost both his parents in a freak accident, he feels he belongs nowhere in the world. However, when given the right encouragement he becomes resourceful and innovative. A good friend.

Spiker
James’ mean aunt. A thief and a scoundrel. Shrewd and opportunistic. Very tall and thin.

Sponge
James’ other mean aunt. Also, a thief and a scoundrel, but not nearly as bright as her sister. Very corpulent, she often has her mind on food.

Spider
A normal spider who has become human-sized after eating a crocodile tongue. Her husband was killed and eaten by Spiker and Sponge. She is warm and friendly to James.

Green Grasshopper
A wizened grasshopper who has become human-sized after eating a crocodile tongue. An excellent musician. Has his eye on Ladybug.

Centipede
An ornery centipede who becomes human-sized after eating a crocodile tongue. Hates humans, in part because Spiker and Sponge fumigated his family. Prickly and rude, everyone thinks he is a pest.

Ladybug
A motherly ladybug who has become human-sized after eating a crocodile tongue. Respectable and classy, she has a warm, caring heart. Has her eye on Grasshopper.

Earthworm
An earthworm who has become human-sized after eating a crocodile tongue. A bit of a scaredy-cat. He is neurotic and worried about everything but is very friendly and brave when called upon.

Meet our 2019 Orchestra Director, Allan Daleus!

The Charles Seller Foundation and Talent Time Players are proud and excited to announce our Orchestra Director, Allan Daleus.

A Bloomfield Native, Allan Daleus is a sophomore music education major at the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University. He studies his primary instruments, clarinet and bass clarinet, under Professor KeriAnn DiBari-Oberle and plays in the MSU Symphonic and Campus Bands, the MSU Wind Symphony, and the MSU Clarinet Choir. Allan is currently the Vice President of MSU’s National Association for Music Education (NAfME) Collegiate Chapter. Recently, he began his work at the John J. Cali School of Music Extension Division where he teaches theory and clarinet lessons. Outside of the music school, Allan is still very involved in his craft by arranging, conducting, and providing private instrumental and theory lessons in communities around New Jersey. Previously, Allan was the Music Director for Bloomfield High School’s Spring Productions from 2015-2017 where his responsibilities included arranging/composing the music and putting together, rehearsing, and conducting the pit orchestra. He also founded and served as the Bloomfield Middle School Wind Ensemble’s conductor from 2016-2018. As a freelancing musician, Allan has played shows such as Once Upon A Mattress, All Shook Up, Seussical, The Pajama Game, Legally Blonde, The Wiz, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Annie, Shrek, Guys and Dolls, and others.

Meet our 2019 Music Director, Tom Russo!

The Charles Seller Foundation and Talent Time Players are excited and proud to announce our Music Director for our 2019 Production, Tom Russo.

Tom Russo is happy to be back for his 5th summer with The Charles Seller Foundation and Talent Time Players. Tom has assistant musically directed and musically directed the past 4 shows for Talent Time which include, Legally Blonde, Footloose, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Shrek. He loves coming back year after year to help raise money for a person in need. He would like to thank the Executive Board, Matt and Courtney, and Gabbyi for giving him the opportunity to Music Direct again this summer. He is excited to be working alongside such talented and dedicated people to raise money for Sawyer Jane.
