Hello Everyone,

We regret to inform you that our Vice President Kellsie Cara Jones will be stepping down from her position after much careful deliberation. We will greatly miss Kellsie, but are fortunate that she is willing to aid the newly chosen VP as best she can.

When an officer resigns from his or her position, it becomes the constitutional duty of the Executive Board to promptly find a suitable replacement among the general membership of the Charles Seller Foundation to insure that we function as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Careful thought has gone into the decision of who would replace Kellsie on our board, and carry out the important duties of the Vice President, namely selecting the beneficiary and representing the Charles Seller Foundation as best they can. The Board met, weighed the pros and cons of each possible candidate, and after thorough review made the decision we felt was the best for the Organization. The choices were brought to a majority vote of the Executive Board.

On behalf of the Charles Seller Foundation, we are pleased to announce Christina Haag as our new Vice President. Christina has expressed great interest in our organization, and has a fantastic, eager work ethic that will result in her performing her duties to the utmost of her ability. We believe that she will not only bring many skills to the organization this year, but will assist in the growth and prosperity of the Charles Seller Foundation in the future.

As always, if you have any questions about this process, please feel free to contact members of the board for further clarification.

Sincerely,
The Executive Board

The Charles Seller Foundation’s Talent Time Players produce a yearly musical, serving a beneficiary from the Bloomfield area with costly medical needs.
Mission

The Charles Seller Foundation will celebrate its 64th annual production when the curtain rises on URINETOWN on August 1, 2013. Each year, the foundation’s Talent Time Players produce a show to benefit a young person in Bloomfield or the surrounding areas, when medical expenses have created a hardship for the family.

Company Overview

The first production, a variety show called “Talent Time” in 1950, was created as a response to the injury of young Charles Seller, who lost his leg in a train accident. His friends came together to put on a show, and an amazing tradition was born. Under the auspices of The Charles Seller Foundation, Talent Time is comprised of young people aged 14 to 30, whose selfless efforts over the years have been a benefit to their peers in need. This year’s beneficiary is Colin Michael Jones of Bloomfield, a survivor of a rare childhood birth defect called hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy.

Description

URINETOWN is a musical comedy with music by Mark Hollmann, lyrics by Hollmann and Greg Kotis, and book by Kotis. A hilarious satire that skewers politics, social irresponsibility and popular musical theatre, it tells the story of an America where even the most basic of human needs becomes fodder for corporate greed. URINETOWN opened on Broadway in September of 2001, and ran for two and a half years. It was nominated for ten Tony awards and won three (including Best Book and Best Original Score). The Talent Time production is directed by Brandon Doemling, with musical direction by Jack Bender and choreography by Tracey Turner Turano.

General Information

URINETOWN will be performed at the Bloomfield High School Auditorium, located at 160 Broad Street in Bloomfield, with performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m., August 1, 2, 3 and 8, 9, 10. Tickets are $15.00 general admission, or $12.00 for students and seniors, and may be purchased at the door.
